Writing Through Different Perspectives

I don’t have experience with losing someone to drugs or alcohol but I always have sympathy for those going through it. I had a 4 hour train ride and this is one poem I came up with.

Toxic Mess

So intoxicated, you’ve been like this for days yet

You find a way to say, you and tipsey have never met

I guess there is some truth to that it is usually a brief meeting I bet

The alcohol gets way over your head I fear daily I’ll find you stone cold dead

I understand you feel your life is a mess, but if you could take some time to free your emotions and just have rest

You’ll find that your soul knows you best. Although these times might appear dark. I’m pleading you to claim back your colourful heart. So we can find a new canvas to start

I’ve been looking for a platform where I could find unique art that was not so expensive. I use to search on etsy but I discovered society 6 from a friend that has uploaded her art work on there. We spend a lot of our time protecting our heart. Only showing love and kindness to those in our “circle”. We are beings that are made to love and connect with others around us. It does not hurt to show kindness, or to be empathetic to those that are having a bad day. A small act of love and kindness goes a long way. I believe it has a domino effect and spreads like wildfire, because love and compassion is infectious.

5 Ways To Brighten Up Your Day

Tired of work or life in general controlling your mood? Instead letting the outside world effect you internally, how about you switch it up and let your mood effect your outside world.

P.S. you only want to do that if you’re in a positive, happy mood.

 

I put together a list of things I implemented in my life, to make my day bright even on a rainy day.

#1 Be observant and aware of your emotions. Acknowledge what stresses you out, and what makes you angry. Pay attention to how those things effect your whole day. The great thing about observing these things is that you have an advantage of being able to solve the things that are bothering you.

 

#2 Change your perspective. If you can’t change the things that are bothering you. Then you have to change your perspective on the situation. You have the power to decide how you feel, so start by deciding to be a little more optimistic. Possibly the problems you are facing are only temporary, maybe it’s helping you be a stronger person, the problems you are facing could be fuel, motivation to make a big change in your life. Looking at your problems from a different perspective can sometimes show you that they are not real problems or problems that can be easily solved.

 

#3 Predict the future. Decide and believe you are going to have a good day before it has even officially started. I do this when I take up an agency jobs, the reality is I don’t like the jobs but for some reason deciding that I am going to have a good day made it so much easier. I honestly have a good day, I think that’s because I believe that I’m going to have a good day. So the night before or the first thing in the morning plan, out your day. With the things that normally bother you, plan in your head that you’re not going to let it bother you. Your day will not go exactly as you planned but because you are conscious and self aware you can manipulate your feelings towards the day.  The way you feel inside can effect what happens outside.

 

#4 Have something to look forward to. You know the feeling you get where the day to your booked holiday is getting closer. Well you should create that feeling with other things not just holidays. Discover your passions again. If you love reading treat yourself to some books. Make time for yourself and do what excites you. Maybe you need something big, like follow your passion and start your own business. Whatever is make sure you have things in your life that you can look forward to. So start planning for your self.

 

#5 Self love, the confidence that everybody needs. Notice how you tolerate things because confidence is stopping you from dealing with it. Confidence is the key to success and happiness, love your self be proud of your achievements, be selfish sometimes. You deserve to be loved and respected, and if you want more people to treat you how you like to be treated, then you have to love and respect yourself to. I’m sure people will love and respect you without you loving yourself. But it is important that you do it will encourage not to put up with being mistreated, it will encourage you to do things that make you happy and it will give you the strength and confidence to do the things you’ve always wanted to do so that most days become bright.

 

Don’t Get Lost In The Dark

Don’t get lost in the dark, no one will find you. If you have found yourself already their, only you can get yourself out. Find a tiny light and follow it until it gets brighter and brighter.

You can point your finger as long as you want

You’ll only end up hurting your arm

You can complain about the lack of love

While you blindly reject the love around you

At some point you must wake up

See the goodness on this earth

Notice the good instead of the bad

You will then feel at peace 

To drop that finger down
